Our Mission
To recruit, develop, retain and engage a diverse, high-performing team.
Our Pledge
Our business demands bright, committed people working in partnership within an environment that prevents no person from doing their best work. We commit to encouraging and valuing inclusivity because every partner brings unique perspectives that help us better serve our clients. By fulfilling this pledge, we believe we will exceed the expectations of our employees, clients and shareholders.
Diversity & Inclusion Council
The Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Council serves as a means for employees to connect with one another to promote a greater awareness and understanding of inclusion and diversity across the firm. With the oversight and support from CEO, Chad Abraham, the D&I Council is co-chaired by James Baker, Managing Director and Co-Head of Investment Banking and Capital Markets, and Managing Director in Fixed Income Trading, Joanna Brody. The D&I Council works to advance the Diversity and Inclusion Mission to recruit, develop, include, retain and engage a diverse, high-performing workforce

Recruiting Diverse Talent
Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) is a nonprofit organization that is transforming the career and life trajectories of a new generation of diverse leaders – while expanding the talent pipelines at leading businesses, social-sector organizations, and universities. MLT equips and emboldens high-achieving people from underrepresented communities –African American, Latino/a and Native American – to realize their full potential, to make a mark and make a difference.
Career Exploration Program (CEP) is Piper Sandler’s hallmark diversity recruiting program: an annual, two day informational event held at our Headquarters in Minneapolis. The program is a pipeline for our summer internship opportunities across seven nationwide Piper Sandler offices. The CEP application process is open to students from all majors and disciplines and is designed to attract high-achieving, diverse candidates, which includes female, Black, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, Asian, veteran, and LGBTQ students.
Piper Sandler MBA Fellowship Program is a newly piloted initiative for our 2020 summer associates. It is a competitive scholarship program to provide outstanding women, Black, Hispanic/Latino, and Native American MBA students with a financial award for exceptional academic achievement and a Summer Associate internship between the first and second year of business school.
