Jeb Spengler is a senior vice president in the Piper Sandler public finance group. His banking and advisory work is focused on public utilities and energy service companies. Spengler offers his clients unique expertise related to the Bonneville Power Administration and extensive knowledge of rating agency methodology as it relates to public power credits. He has worked on a wide variety of transactions for the benefit of public power and utility issuers, including prepay and derivative structures, Clean Renewable Energy Bonds and new generation asset financing. Spengler helps utilities tackle the challenges associated with volatility in the power market, financing infrastructure operations and maintenance, renewable energy project development, and energy efficiency financing.

Previously, Spengler held various finance and accounting positions at Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan, GE Lighting-Europe and Raytheon Missile Systems.

Spengler holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis in finance and a minor in economics, from the University of Montana. He has also taken post-graduate level finance classes in the areas of valuation and market regulations from New York University.
