Adam Waite

Adam Waite is a director in the financial services group at Piper Sandler & Co.

Previously, he was a director in the investment banking group of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P., where he provided strategic advice, focusing on mergers & acquisitions and capital raising, to clients in the financial technology and market structure sectors. Since joining the firm in 2014, Waite has advised clients on numerous strategic transactions, including TD Ameritrade’s sale to Charles Schwab, Tradeweb Markets’ initial public offering, Blackhawk Network’s sale to Silver Lake, Virtu Financial’s acquisition of KCG Holdings, Envestnet’s acquisition of Yodlee, Archway Technology Partners’ sale to SEI Investments Company, and Armanta’s sale to IBM.

Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill, Waite was an associate in Evercore Partners’ restructuring group. Prior to Evercore, he worked as a senior analyst in the Hedge Fund Research group of Cambridge Associates. In this role, Waite’s research coverage included credit, distressed & event driven hedge fund managers globally.

Waite holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, a Juris doctorate from Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Bates College.
